What's your guiding question?

Posted on Jun 6th, 2008 by Daniel : Human Daniel
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 06, 2008:

What is reality?

In other words - What is (are) the most essential truth(s)? What is the ultimate "big picture"? What is really going on? What is the most important thing to be aware of? How deeply can one see through, understand, know all of this?

I think these are all the same question.

What is the best use of your imagination?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 04, 2008:

Imagination makes the unknown knowable.

Imagination is creative, It suggests forms, creates images (hence the name) for what was previously only a hint of inspiration, a mere abstraction, a thought, a word, a moment.

Imagination is the Muse's moonlight nightie.

Is your mind a safe place to be?

Posted on Jun 18th, 2008 by Daniel : Human Daniel
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 18, 2008:

Neither safe nor unsafe. Safety simply is not a guiding principle. As a way to be involved, to be conscious, to understand anything, it is far too limiting.

I am certainly not suggesting any high-risk behavior, but I have seen too many safety-first thinkers allow fear (of what?) to keep them from seeking growth, consciousness, creativity, compassion, unity and transcendence. Despite all efforts to be in control of their situation, they were actually far less safe than they would have been had they embraced higher principles than safety.

If one's mind is a good place to be, an expansive, conscious, creative, compassionate, unified and transcendent place to be, then it will be safe.

What is happiness?

Posted on Jun 30th, 2008 by Daniel : Human Daniel
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 30, 2008:

Happiness is what you have when you trust reality. It is the realization that one CAN trust reality. . . by any name you address it (God, the Ultimate Reality, the Universe, the Great Unknown, etc. ).

It may seem an extraordinary act of faith to trust the Universe, especially when the news suggests it is much wiser not to do so, but as long as one entertains the belief that fear or desire are the only possible responses, then happiness can be nothing more than an unrealized ideal  One cannot be happy if one is afraid of reality. One cannot be happy if one desires reality to be something else. All one can do in that state of being is resist a distorted perception instead of embracing reality for all that it truly is.

When you trust, however, you discover reality is far more creative than anything you imagined. . . and you are free to experience your own happiness.
